Workshops

The Workshops will take place from July 22nd to 23rd in the Hotel Crowne Plaza Heidelberg City Center. In the heart of Heidelberg, just in front of the tram and bus stop Seegarten and across the Neckar river, the luxurious Hotel Crowne Plaza is less than 2km away from Heidelberg Castle, and very close to the Old Town by walking.

Main conference

The main conference, the invited talks, the tutorials, and the David Dill symposium will take place from July 24th to 28th in the Heidelberg Stadthalle. The Heidelberg Stadthalle is a congress and cultural center close to the Neckar river. Its construction was inspired by both Renaissance and Art Nouveau (Jugendstils).

Banquet

The banquet dinner will take place at the Heidelberg castle on July 27th evening. This castle was build in the 13th century and dominated the place where Heidelberg was later built. Places of interest there include the Museum of the pharmacy, der Großes Fass (the big barrel) of 228000 liters and the broken tower.

Getting to Heidelberg

If you arrive from Frankfurt airport, you can either take the Deutsche Bahn (railway), the
Airport shuttle which stops directly at the Crowne Plaza (where the workshops are), or the Lufthansa airport shuttle which also stops directly at the Crowne Plaza.
